Packing Tips
- Use sturdy, uniform-sized boxes for easier stacking.
- Label every box on at least two sides with a brief description of the contents.
- Wrap fragile items individually with packing paper or bubble wrap.
- Place items you may need to access frequently near the front of the unit.
- Disassemble large furniture to save space. Keep hardware in labeled bags.
- Fill boxes completely to prevent collapsing when stacked.
- Store mattresses and upholstered furniture with protective covers.
- Use shelving units to keep smaller items organized and accessible.
What Not to Store
For the safety of all tenants, the following items should not be stored in any self-storage unit:
- Perishable food items
- Flammable or explosive materials
- Hazardous chemicals or waste
- Living plants or animals
- Stolen goods or illegal items
- Unregistered vehicles (check facility policy)
